Biography

He is our chief Optometrist, having one of the best qualifications in India, and in practice since 1991. Winner of the Best Optometrist award given by Chairman Emeritus Dr. S. S. Badrinath of Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, The Living Legend given by OSA AIIMS, Lifetime FIACLE (Fellowship) status and BIPOK Ambassador by the International Association of Orthokeratology and Myopia control, his professional qualifications are –

Baccalaureate in Optometry from The Elite School of Optometry, Sankara Nethralaya (1987-1991), Chennai 

Fellowship in Optometry from The L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad (1991-1992)

An Accredited Fellow of International Association Of Contact Lens Educators, (FIACLE), Australia he is actively involved in teaching Contact lenses in India and abroad. This was converted to Lifetime Fellowship after 15 years of uninterrupted renewal of Fellowship

Masters in Optometry with Contact lenses as a speciality subject from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune (2004-2006)

Apart from Clinical practice he is senior faculty at The Vision Care Institute of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, India, key opinion leader for Bausch and Lomb, Alcon, Contex lab. USA and postgraduate examiner at BVP School of Optometry, Pune and Lotus College of Optometry, Mumbai

His passion is to fit Contact lenses in speciality cases and irregular Corneas. Apart from Contact lenses he aims to provide the best Vision correction and help patients to see well. This has won Saoji Vision Care India’s first center of excellence from David Thomas Contact Lenses UK. He has conducted training programmes at many Optometry and Ophthalmology Conference for Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb, Rose K, Paragon CRT and Optical dispensing

He is a part of the Myopia Task force who are leading the fight against Myopia and by making recommendations to follow by general public and have prepared a Myopia white paper which was submitted to Government of India for their consideration
