Making the most of the sight you have
When the retina, the back of the eye, is damaged by disease or injury, the eye can no longer see clearly. When this is severe, everyday life suffers and people come to depend on others.
A low vision examination looks for ways to use the vision that remains. We try a range of devices with you to bring back some independence.
Who should have it?
Anyone who has been told that nothing more can be done for their vision because the retina is damaged should have a low vision examination.
How we are different
We keep many optical and non-optical devices in stock, so you can try them on the spot and decide straight away. For very poor vision we offer Ocutech telescopes, and for people who are blind, smart vision glasses.
For people with retinitis pigmentosa or advanced glaucoma, whose field of vision has narrowed, field expanders can help.
