A few years into the profession, we realised that a speciality vision care clinic was not available to serve the needs of people with vision-related problems. Among the many independent eye clinics, rarely any dealt with vision-related issues in detail.
Saoji Contact Lens Clinic (Sitabuldi) had been serving the people of Nagpur since 1969, but its scope of practice was limited to contact lenses.
In 2000 we started Saoji Vision Care (SVC), an optometry clinic having all faculties of optometry — speciality contact lenses, binocular vision clinic and therapy, customised artificial eyes and scientific spectacle dispensing.
At SVC, as we all lovingly call the clinic, we believe in giving the most apt vision solutions to all our patients. Here, safety of your eyes is given priority over the cost of treatment, your requirements are considered rather than the product being sold, and patient satisfaction dominates transactional relationships.
The new facility is a state-of-the-art myopia control clinic with evidence-based myopia control using the best instruments, and an advanced vision therapy clinic.
This makes SVC one of the most advanced optometry clinics of India. Knowledge is constantly updated, as the Chief Optometrist, Yeshwant Saoji, is an internationally acclaimed educator and practitioner with 33 years of experience and over 150 talks at various conferences.
